Was it magic, some kind of fantasy, imaginary thing? Was it a reality? Those small houses with mown lawns in front huddled in the green valleys of the all-surrounding mountains; ruins of castles and churches with stories about dragons and maiden princesses-just like in the fairytales my granny used to tell me. Was it real the treasure hunting throughout Slovenskoe Konice and then up, up, up the mountain where you take a rest and enjoy the sunshine and the different games Sometimes I felt it most like reality: in the swimming pool or in the Jacuzzi. What about the sledge? Was it real that feeling of bone-cracking pressure of speed and the wind blowing out your mind with all its daily worries? Can anybody forget the multinational evenings with so much fun (including: national foods, drinks, music, dances and ways of partying last but not least). Or can anybody remember so much new information about 9 different countries (Bulgaria, Slovenia, Malta, Estonia, Italy, Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Romania)?! For example, that Dracula’s NOT the only thing that Romania’s famous for; or that there was a Baltic chain which established a world record for number of people holding their hands; or that Italy has 3 main regions (hope I don’t mistake the number…); that Malta consists of 3 islands communicating by either a ferry or helicopters; is really Slovenia so small?( It didn’t seem so with all these high mountains around). Is it really true that the EU is 50 years old? Quite unbelievable but true, nevertheless. That’s why we made quite a celebration out of its birthday ;) with singing, dancing, acting, writing posters… It was quite useful to learn about the history of the EU and what the countries and their flags look like- we are citizens of that union after all. One funny thing that was as real as you read that- small rooms with many people in could be both irritating and SO great at the same time. And one more thing could be sensed very sharply- the need for sleep. Simply because it was so unbelievably interesting that we sometimes forgot to sleep? Is it real that I’m not living in that dream anymore… Am I awake now?
