7 -16 May 2007 Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC
Everything began on 7-th of May!
The venue - Prague, The Check Republic;
The main participants- Bulgarians, Slovaks, Poles and Czechs;
The main purpose- international integration and not only!
The main project - woodcarving and not only!
The exchange was a memorable experience for us, which successfully managed to combine the pleasure with good work. All of our expectations were met.
The activities were organized pretty well.
During our stay, we had to create something special from wood and especially from our soul-the aim was to find out other abilities and hidden talents, which would help us to express ourselves better. Most of us had never thought that he/she was capable of doing such a thing. The result was really surprising for us all! One of the leaders told us we were born professionals and should change our education! Of course it was not only a work! We were chatting, laughing; taking photos and integrating pretty well while were working on our “treasures”. The result we a strong friendship!
Another very interesting assignment was to create a “European rainbow” .To be more specific, it contained the idea of a performance or project whose aim was to unite all countries in the EU. For some of us it was a “beer”, for others –different kinds of sports, but the “music” was the goal! Rewards were provided by our leaders for the winners who performed the best!
Moreover, we had an opportunity to visit Prague closer and feel the atmosphere of this old, full of history city because of the fact that we were accommodated nearby the centre of the capital. The city is separated of two parts: the new one, and the old one-so I will focus only on the old one, because this part of the city represents another epoch, different space! The architecture of the buildings, meadows, traveling chariots made you feel in a fairy-tale! That’s why we were ushered in the magic of the town. Here every monument is a history! And you could see them at every corner.
The most attractive sight for all of us was the astronomical clock. The figures of the apostoles appear every hour and -this miraculous machine shows the skeleton, the miser and the profligate, and also the science of astronomy- years, months, days, hours, the rising and the setting of the sun, east and west, the moon and the signs of the Zodiac.
That exchange made us richer. Words fail us to describe the emotions and feelings we went through. But for sure we came back keeping sweet memories and having the perception that we are part of the big European Family.
