| Water is our Treasure |
19 - 27 August 2006, Drobolach, AUSTRIAFrom 19th to 27th August 2006 a Bulgarian group (Members: Aleksandar, Bana, Desislava, Monika, Tihomir, Valeri; Group leader – Boby Vankov) participated in an international exchange which took place in a small town – Drobolach, Austria. The participants were from six different countries: Austria, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.
Early in the next morning with the activities which were connected with getting to know one another. Then we were presented the schedule and the purposes of the project. Every day began with icebreakers, energizers which freshen us up. The activities that followed were different and very interesting. What we did was useful and at the same time exciting. Most of the activities were connected with the idea of working in groups. For example, we learned how to climb and jump while we depended on other people. We visited some places which revealed the beautiful Austrian nature and were also connected to our theme – Water is our treasure. One of these places were the waterfalls of Lieser – Maltatal. We went to a town called Gmund where we saw the Museum of water. There was an old castle (with a restaurant with delicious food?). Where we had Creative Workshops in Marketing, Painting and Music – all connected with the idea of preservation of water. We visited the Hidro-electric Power Station in Villach with a cognitive aim. After the daily activities we enjoyed national nights. In this way we could get to know the culture and traditions of other countries. This was an incredible and unforgettable exchange which helped us to learn more about water and how to save it. Of course, the Bulgarian group took active participation and worked for the project. We are happy that we met all those people and we spend eight great days.

We left early in the morning on 19th August. We traveled by mini-bus the whole day. During the travel we passed through few countries: Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia and we enjoyed the beautiful sightseeing. We arrived late in the evening. Everybody else has already arrived and we got acquainted with them. (In each room there was a mixed group with a participant from each country).
