15 - 24 August 2008 Strebornica, Slovakia 

Last  summer we spent one of the most exciting and happiest moments in our lives – exactly in Slovakia. Thanks to the organization “Open Youth”, we had the great opportunity to be a part of this wonderful international project. We were able to meet new people, to build new friendships with people from different places, to gain  important experience. The interesting games we were playing there intended to make us closer to each other – the integration was the main purpose and this word transformed into a song among us. Every day we started with physical exercises, then the games and, of course the workshop, where we developed and demonstrated our own qualities and abilities. Another advantage of  our stay in Slovakia is the fact that we all could practise and improve our English skills. Except being accommodated in  something like a hostel among the beautiful nature there, we got the opportunity to visit other historical and cultural places in order to know the country better. We saw the ruins of an old medieval castle, which was situated on the top of a hill and made a big trip in the Slovakian mountains. Another day of our stay in Striebornica was chosen for an excursion. We visited a big and really beautiful town near  the place, where we had put up. Its name is Trenchin and there we visited also a huge and restored castle and in addition to that we went for a walk through the city.

The things, we enjoyed at most, were the national evenings, when the participants had to present their own country with the most interesting customs and traditions. Each of these evenings was different and unique and we all were enjoying the time together.
Our group performed traditional Bulgarian dances, which attracted all other participants and they started dancing with us. Of course we acquainted them with our history and at the end of the evening they had the opportunity to test our national meals.
Everything there was great, but the people we met there were those who made me feel fantastic and significant. We hope that these friendships, we created there, will continue.
The end of this wonderful stay in Slovakia was filled with tears, because of the undesirable parting. And we are sure that the impressions of all participants will remain only positive in their mind.
